Recently, SAIC Group officially completed the delivery of its 100 millionth vehicle to a global user, becoming the first Chinese automotive group to achieve cumulative production and sales exceeding 100 million units. This milestone not only sets a new record for Chinese automakers but also marks a transformative leap forward for China's automotive industry.
The delivery ceremony was unprecedented in scale and wide in its reach. A total of 15 self-owned and joint venture brands under SAIC gathered together to complete vehicle deliveries. Participating brands included core self-owned brands such as Roewe, MG, IM Motors, and Shangjie, as well as major joint venture brands including Volkswagen, Audi, Buick, and Cadillac.
As the 100 millionth delivery model, the high-end intelligent electric flagship — the IM LS9 Hyper — was officially unveiled in early 2026. This model is equipped with the Lingxi Digital Chassis 3.0, a three-motor vector all-wheel-drive system, Momenta's autonomous driving large model, the Hengxing super range-extender system, and a full-domain 800V high-voltage platform. With a comprehensive driving range exceeding 1,400 kilometers, it demonstrates SAIC's cutting-edge capabilities in the intelligent electric vehicle field.
Notably, this milestone vehicle was received by Cao Xudong, CEO of Momenta. Since the establishment of the IM brand, the two parties have established a deep supply chain and technology partnership, with Momenta providing the assisted driving solutions for all IM models. At the delivery event, Cao Xudong announced that Momenta's L3-level high-order autonomous driving technology will first be deployed in SAIC vehicles.
In terms of delivery format, this '100 millionth delivery' adopted a global relay model. The main venue was the World Hospitality Hall on the North Bund in Shanghai, with live feeds connecting to multiple domestic cities and overseas delivery sites in the UK, Indonesia, Singapore, and beyond, enabling cross-border, cross-regional synchronized deliveries, showcasing SAIC's mature global operational capabilities.
As a benchmark enterprise for Chinese automotive exports, SAIC has established over 100 parts production bases and more than 3,000 sales and service outlets worldwide, with its products and services covering over 170 countries and regions. The company has also set up three overseas R&D centers and four overseas manufacturing bases, and relies on its own Anji Logistics fleet of 42 roll-on/roll-off ships and 8 international shipping routes, constructing a stable supply chain system that covers core global markets.
From January to April 2026, SAIC Group achieved cumulative sales of 1.302 million vehicles, ranking first among Chinese automakers for four consecutive months. Among these, self-owned brand sales reached 910,000 units, accounting for nearly 70%; new energy vehicle sales reached 412,000 units, firmly holding a leading position in the industry; and overseas market sales reached 459,000 units, a significant year-on-year increase of 50.2%.
Currently, SAIC is accelerating its transformation from 'product export' to 'full value-chain export.' On the technology front, MG's semi-solid-state batteries, IM's IM AD global intelligent driving system, and SAIC's i-Smart intelligent mobility system have already been deployed in global markets. Strategically, SAIC launched its 'Glocal' (Global Localization Integration) strategy in 2025, continuously enriching its overseas product portfolio and promoting comprehensive export of technology, brands, services, and industrial chains. With high-quality, highly intelligent 'Intelligent Manufacturing from China,' SAIC continues to deeply cultivate global markets and lead the world's automotive industry.
