July 17th - A government spokesperson announced today that the final step has been taken to allow the import of used cars, provided they are models from 2019 or later. This government approved decision has opened up the automobile import market to all Iranians.

Imported used cars must comply with the latest European standards, "the spokesperson emphasized.

The regulation also emphasizes allowing cars registered in free zones to be imported into mainland China.
